约翰•W•道尔(John W. Dower)

哈佛大学博士学位，美国麻省理工学院历史学教授，美国艺术科学院院±，美国历史学会委员。主要研究领域是近现代日本史和美日关系，是相关领域最重要的学者之一。他的研究著作多次获包括普立策奖和美国国家图书奖在内的重要学术奖项。他的《拥抱战败》获普利策奖。
